This
is found-footage, a French short film from 1962. Apparently, it
garnered an Academy Award nomination. The original music was the usual
horrendous avant-garde electronic cacaphony. Do you think the word
ca-ca is a derivative of cacaphony, or vice-versa?
The
song I put in its place, "Redhead Tells The Sun," will be on the cd,
"Stephanie In The Morning." I wrote "Redhead Tells The Sun" for a
redhead named Blair, one of the top psychics in the country. I have
mentioned elsewhere that I was quite skeptical about her claims of
clairvoyance when we first met, but after hanging around her for a
couple days, I became convinced I was dealing with a person with one
foot on the other side. A truly remarkable person. Perhaps I'll write more about her some day. But I think I captured her pretty well with the song.

This song, "Stephanie In The Morning," is the title song for my next
instrumental cd. The one after "Sun Transform System," that is.

It is with a sad heart that I tell you that I discovered that Freddie was killed today, apparently hit by a car.
He was an amazing, sweet, and funny little cat. I got him at the
shelter about a year ago, to keep Henry, a cat I had gotten from my
friend Stephanie, company.
Henry and Freddie became fast friends, often napping together, playing chase, all those things loving kitties do.
I will miss him. Henry is looking for him.
I think we will go to the shelter tomorrow and bring a new cat home. But as you know, no one can replace the one you've lost.
I made this video one afternoon. He often slept like that, strung like
a suspension bridge from the armchair to the scratching post, his round
belly hanging. He was a source of constant joy.
Goodbye, my sweet little Freddie.
This
piece of music, "Serenity Applicator," is available on the "Flapping"
version of my cd "Flight of the Atom Bee." After the original "Flight
of the Atom Bee" is re-released, "Serenity Applicator" will be
available on the "Deus Sex Machina" cd.

Altered States by Glenn McKay Part 1
A million years ago, no ... in 1999 ...
actually that was another dimension, pre-bush/cheney, wasn't it? ...
there was an video installation that ran for six months at the SF
Museum of Modern Art. Glenn McKay, who did psychedelic light shows for
the Jefferson Airplane and other bands in the hippie era, was
commissioned to do an installation of his light/color-based art. Two compositions of mine were chosen for the Seventies' Sex and Drugs segment, "3 Seconds Before Maia Smiled" and "Ubi Mel Ibi Apes (where there is honey, there are bees)" and, as such, entered the permanent collection there. I have to tell you it was really cool having my name on the wall.

Knox hits the big time
Including video from a big hashish deal Glenn did back in the day.
That's art, I mean, Art.
